Turn Your Home Office Into a Micro-Gym

Sitting is the new smoking.
The body is designed for perpetual motion.
Don't become stiff and stale by sitting at a desk 40 hours/week.
Make it as easy to stand, stretch, balance, meditate, move...
Here are 5 Tools You Need to Turn Your Home Office Into a Micro-Gym:
#1 Yoga Mat.

A Yoga Mat provides a comfortable space for stretching, basic exercises, and even some light yoga poses.
I love it because it's versatile and encourages me to take quick stretch breaks, relieving stress and improving focus.
Get yourself a nice yoga mat in your office as a reminder to stay loose.
Here's the one I have.
#2 Kettle Bell.

A Kettle Bell is a compact, ball-shaped weight with a handle.
You can do a million things with it.
My favorite moves w/ kettlebell: Sit in Deep Squat or do a Standing Forward Fold.
It adds weight to your movements, making stretches deeper and light exercises more effective.
I love it because it's easy to store next to my desk and allows for quick stretches and exercises that loosen muscles and boost energy.
Here's the one I have.
#3 Standing Desk.

A Standing Desk is an adjustable desk that allows you to alternate between sitting and standing, without rearranging your stuff.
It helps you avoid the health pitfalls of sitting all day, such as back pain, tight hips, sore knees, and inactivity.
I love it because it keeps me active throughout the day, boosting my productivity and energy levels.
It opens up my options when I am in meetings. I can stand, stretch, move, whatever.
Here's the one I have.
#4 Balance Board.

What the heck is a balance board?
Think mini-surfboard with a rounded bottom, designed to improve balance and core strength.
It engages your core muscles and helps improve your posture when you stand on it.
I love it because it adds an element of fun and challenge to my day, all while subtly improving my posture and core strength.
It also provides light stability training, crucial for longevity.
Here's the one I have.
#5 Resistance Bands.

Resistance Bands are elastic bands used for strength training and physical therapy.
They provide resistance for a variety of exercises that can target different muscle groups.
I love them because they're incredibly versatile and easy to store, making it simple to add variety to my micro-gym routine.
I use them to stretch out my upper body, mobilize my shoulders, and train my rotator cuffs.
I have many sets, here's a good one.
There you have it, the Home Office Micro-Gym.
No workout.
Just move.
